Il Giardino delle Erbe

This is the largest of the two beds and has the nice soil we brought up from Debi's part of the property. There is a raised portion, or second tier in the center of the bed. Inventory... tomatoes, jalapeno and bell peppers, chives, marjoram, oregano, bush and thai basil, sage, thyme, tarragon, lavender, cat mint, and pineapple sage.

Here you can see the two beds and the walkway to the front door. The bed nearest the house has yucky (a technical term) soil that we had delivered and receives less sun, so the plants aren't thriving as well as in the bed opposite. But they are doing okay. Inventory... bay leaf, globe and thai basil, oregano, chives, parsley, cilantro, and lime.

These two pix show the raised tier a little more closely. The tree in the center is an Italian Cypress.

Cilantro (foreground), oregano, lime, various native plants, mexican lime.

Looking north, toward the shed.
