A day off...

Scenes from around Poggio Secco. The flowers are Meyer Lemons.

Views from our morning tour of Klepac Greenhouses in Blanco. Klepac is a family owned and operated wholesale nursery that supplies poinsettias to HEB, Whole Foods, and commissaries in the southwest. Many of their plants arrive as cuttings or plugs first imported from Holland then potted and grown in two campuses in Blanco. Christmas and Easter are two of their busiest seasons. Klepac is not open to the public, so it was a rare treat to have the opportunity to tour their facility. We had lunch at the Uptown Restaurant on the Square in Blanco with our friend Sheryl and she saw us off with a special suprise.... more on that in a later post!

In and around Johnson City by day.

And by night, at the Festival of Lights.
