Gifts for the Garden

Kees found us an embryo agave in Lajitas and Mom & Dad brought wild lantana from Kempner. We managed to get everything snug in bed on Saturday evening before the rains came early the next morning. After the rain tapered off, I spread wildflower and grass seed we bought from Wildseed Farms. Hopefully some of the seed will take even though it is a bit late for planting.

Benvenuti a molti fiori

Another beautiful spring day in the Texas Hill Country. The mimosa flowers (center right) are very fragrant. Here's a key (common names) from upper left: blue gilia, prarie verbena, antelope horn, Hayden (foster cocker), mosaic medallion on the front porch, pink mimosa, the house as viewed from the south, blackfoot daisy, slender-stem bitterweed. There are also bluebonnets, celestials, blue-eyed grass, rain lillies, and many other wild flowers about, but it is difficult to get good photos of them. I'll keep working on it. Each new day brings new things to admire.
