Prelude to the Pour

Rosario's crew makes final adjustments to the forms and Jim wrestles in some last minute conduit.

July 4th, 2007. The old-timers remember a stretch of weather like this about 80 years ago. But if you look at the record books, the Texas Hill Country has a long history of flood events occurring in the months of May and June. Read about them on the NOAA website. Also visit the LCRA website to read some interesting facts about the effect of the recent rainfall on the Highland Lakes system.

damn rain! Yes.. we work even in the rain! Tomorrow Rosario has scheduled the pour. Rain or not. They will be using a pump so it's no big deal, as the concrete trucks will only come up so far.
DAMN RAIN! It's usually over 100 degrees by now!
